Creation Process

I had worked well with the latex masks I had created for, A Multifaceted Medium, and received encouraging feedback, so I decided to construct an entire, human size, latex body, using a mannequin as my model, from which paintings could derive. Latexing the mannequin proved to be a very time-consuming task, as five layers were needed. Figures 1-4 show the early stages of the procedure. The arms and head (shown on the table beside the mannequin) were made separately.
