I am also keen to explore the idea of artist-in-residence programs, as I believe I would greatly enjoy the opportunity of researching and producing work in a new environment. I welcome any opportunity which pushes me to explore avenues outside my normal comfort zone, as I believe it could enhance my work and offer me a new perspective. Having studied social anthropology for a year at university, I find different cultures intriguing, with a special interest in what is considered taboo. I also foster a keen interest in different belief systems and the foundations which continue to give them life. Because of this, I would welcome applying for residencies abroad as well as in the UK, having a special fascination with Papua New Guinea and southern Africa.
